Charles Cromwell Bissue, former Secretary to the government's Inter-Ministerial Commmittee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM), paraded false claims, which TigerEye refuted.
Mr. Bissue claims that the investigative firm's documentary Galamsey Fraud Part 1 containing audiovisual evidence to authenticate his participation in galamsey activities and bribe-taking is false. He claims it was an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
Mr. Bissue has engaged in damage control following the NDC's announcement that he will be prosecuted for galamsey upon their next assumption of power.
In his rounds of defense, the then-secretary of the IMCIM asserted that the CID had cleared him of all charges and that the NDC's claims were mere propaganda.
According to a statement issued by Anas Aremeyaw Anas's TigerEye Pi, Mr. Bissue's claims that the investigative firm demanded a ransom to remove the article about him are untrue.
The Pi company claims Mr. Bissue claimed the documentary was shown to tarnish his reputation after he failed to pay the sum they demanded.
However, according to a press release issued by TigerEye on October 6, 2022, they used the Anas Principle twice to bribe Mr. Bissue into illegally granting them access to a mine, despite the fact that Mr. Bissue's role as secretary of the IMCIM was to protect the environment.
Below is the complete press release from TigerEye.
