Freddie Blay has done nothing wrong by defending Aisha Huang's accomplices, but he lacks values, according to Adib Saani.
According to a security analyst named Adib Saani, the choice made by Blay & Associates, the law firm of the immediate past National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Freddie Blay, to defend three accomplices of Aisha Huang who were arrested for alleged involvement in illegal small-scale mining in court is not a bad one. Mr. Freddie Blay was the National Chairman of the NPP when the NPP was in power.

He stated that Ghana is a country that operates under the Rule of Law, and that everyone has the right to be represented fairly in a legal proceeding.

But, as he pointed out, Mr. Blay's decision to support the people who helped him commit the crime reeks of a lack of ethics.

On Tuesday, October 11, Adib Saani stated on the Ghana Tonight show with Alfred Ocansey on TV3 that it fuels speculations that there are powerful persons participating in the illicit small scale mining. Adib Saani was speaking about the issue (Galamsey).

"He has not committed any wrongdoing; since we live in a nation that is ruled by the Rule of Law, everyone has the right to make a presentation. Nevertheless, I believe that his actions are devoid of morals," he stated.

He continued, "I am a businessman, and on a daily basis I get a lot of calls. I do GPS tracking for security reasons; however, there are certain circumstances in which people approach you because they want to track their spouses, and I am forced to reject it because mine is intended for security purposes." In spite of the fact that people have to eat, you must prioritize your ideals over anything else. His willingness to defend the individuals merely adds to the widespread mistrust that people already harbor regarding the role of certain important people in the entire galamsey morass.

It was revealed in court on Tuesday, October 11, that Blay & Associates is acting as counsel for the individuals under investigation.

This drew criticism from various individuals, including the Director of Legal Affairs of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Abraham Amaliba, who stated that "On this matter of 'galamsey, considering the fact that there are accusations and fingers pointing at government officials to be complicit in this 'galamsey' issue, if you have government lawyers, already Nkrabeah Effah Dartey is known to be connected with the NPP, now to have the immediate

However, in a statement issued in response to these concerns, Blay & Associates said: "It has come to our attention that there has been some misconceptions and the deliberate misconstruction of our decision to represent our clients in the case of the Republic Vs Shi Yang, Shi Meizhi, Li Wei Zuo and another (Our Client), we as a firm will like to clarify these issues."

"It would appear to us that the people who seek our services are unintentional victims of a situation that is of significant importance to the nation. We are aware of the deep-seated indignation and sentiment that any report on unlawful mining in Ghana is likely to elicit in Ghanaians. Even worse is the situation when those accused are foreign nationals because of the substantial degradation and pollution of water bodies that may be found right outside their front doors.

However, here at Blay & Associates, we firmly believe that the integrity of the court system cannot be compromised in any way. The mission of Blay & Associates is to advance the cause of justice, to guarantee a fair trial, and to work toward providing fair counsel.

"We as steadfast believers in our beautiful Constitution of Ghana from 1992 agreed to defend these clients with these ideals in mind,"
